The Cutthroat Inn and access to the South Fork of the Snake River are located twenty miles east of Idaho Falls, Idaho, on US Highway 26 then three miles north on the Heise Road.

We are within 100 miles of Yellowstone National Park and just 65 miles west of Jackson, Wyoming.


The Cutthroat Inn is nestled against the foothills of the beautiful Rocky Mountains along the South Fork of the world famous Snake River in eastern Idaho. The largest population of nesting bald eagles in the lower 48 states can be seen along the South Fork of the Snake River. Several of them fish daily from the Cutthroat Inn's private trout pond. Be sure to bring your camera! The lodge offers an area for gatherings including breakfast, etcetera when included and our private trout pond may be used for practicing your fly fishing techniques. Your innkeeper is also a booking agent for fly fishing trip's! She would be happy to help you in this area!

Each cabin has two beautiful rough pine, queen size beds, private bathroom, and shower. Great for family reunions. Ask about our special group rates and weekday specials. The cabins now have microwaves and refrigerators. Dinner may also be served at night on a per person rate. Snacks are available as well as drinks for those who prefer to grab a snack in their room before heading out for the day.
