Central Idaho: Hells CanyonAmerica's Deepest Gorge
Traveling south to north-central Idaho, the Palouse Hills envelop Moscow, while Lewiston is home to Hells Gate State Park and the Lewiston Roundup. Separating Idaho and Oregon, Hells Canyon is America’s deepest gorge, and the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway and Hells Canyon National Recreation Area provide an up-close look. The region is also home to Nez Perce culture and the Dworshak Dam and Reservoir.
