Located in Lakeview Park, the Bonner County Historical Museum is dedicated to preserving the history and development of Bonner County. Featuring four exhibit rooms, the museum outlines the region’s history with such topics as the Kootenai and Kalispell Indians, fur traders and steamboats, and the timber and railroad industries. With an extensive collection of old photos, newspapers, and other important regional documents, the museum has a research team available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 2 PM to assist with the public’s research requests. The museum is open year-round from 10 AM to 4 PM on Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission is adults $2, family $5, students ages 6-18 $1, and under 6 are free.
