Chatq'ele' Interpretive Center

Location: 7 miles east of Plummer near Heyburn State Park's main entrance
Situated within Heyburn State Park, the Pacific Northwest’s oldest state park, the Chatq’ele’ Interpretive Center is a treasure of information about the surrounding area. Visitors will find several exhibits about the Civilian Conservation Corp, art and artifacts of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe that once inhabited the area, and displays about local history and wildlife.
