In August, the Kootenai County Fairgrounds comes alive with the annual North Idaho Fair and Rodeo. The weeklong event features a large selection of family oriented fare sure to please the pickiest crowd. Nationally ranked cowboys turn out in groves for the PRCA Rodeo, a demolition derby and motocross sports makes fans’ hearts race, and a draft horse show and animal petting farm are always popular with the kids. On top of it all, daily live entertainment includes musical acts, magicians, and hypnotists while a carnival and concessions catering to every salt and sugar craving round out the standard fair activities.
