Historically, this region’s economy began with and was dependent upon the mining and logging industries. Today, visitors can glimpse into the past at the J. Howard Bradbury Logging Memorial Museum. Situated inside a log cabin built in 1928, the museum displays a photographic timeline of the timber harvest, the machines used, and the hardworking men who made the logging industry thrive. Visitors will also locate equipment used in both mining and logging. The museum is open from 12 PM to 4 PM Thursday through Sunday from May 15 to October 15.
