The Cambridge Historical Museum, located in a false front wood store building, is home to an extensive collection preserving the region’s history. Beginning with the first settlers’ arrival in 1869, the museum carries visitors through the 1930s. Exhibits cover topics such as geology, Native Americans, local farming and logging history, pioneer life, the Seven Devils Mining boom, and the importance of the railroad. The museum also houses a research library and genealogy collection. With free admission, the museum is open 10 AM to 4 PM Wednesday through Saturday and 1 PM to 4 PM Sunday from June 1 to August 31. Private appointments can be made at other times during the year.
