From 1936 to 1937, the Civilian Conservation Corp constructed eight buildings in the McCall area. These historic buildings that were once a summer home for the governor and served as the Southern Idaho Timber Protective Association headquarters from 1938 to 1992 are now home to a regional museum. The center features several exhibits relating to mining, logging, recreation, fire suppression, forest management, and local history. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
