Swan Falls Dam Trail

Location: Locate the Birds of Prey Area south of Kuna. From here, drive 1 mile upriver from the Swan Falls Dam and park near an old corral.

Winding upstream, this trail offers river views and climbs to a Nature Conservancy wetland. Best months for hiking are May through September.

Optional Hikes: After parking below the Swan Falls Dam, locate several trails along the north shore leading to Swan Falls.

Wees Bar Trail
Distance: 6 miles roundtrip

Difficulty: moderate
Usage: moderate
Location: Locate the Birds of Prey Area south of Kuna and drive to the Swan Falls Dam. Cross the dam’s spillway to locate the trailhead.

Visitors will glimpse into ancient history while hiking downstream to Wees Bar. Petroglyphs characterize the area, and visitors are reminded not to touch the drawings so they can be preserved for future generations. Best months for hiking are May through September.
