Weiser River Trail
Distance: 84 miles one-way

Usage: moderate
Location: From US Highway 95, exit into Weiser and locate the trailhead for the Weiser River Trail.

Hikers will step into history while following one of Idaho’s first rail lines that the Pacific and Idaho Northern Railway utilized for years. Ending at New Meadows, the route weaves in and out of civilization. Best months for hiking are May through September.

After viewing the surrounding Hells Canyon and Wallowa Mountains, locate the interpretive nature trail. The hike passes twenty-one descriptive points and leads to Sheep Rock Overlook. Best months for hiking are June through September.
