Hammett
Pop. 200

The Oregon Short Line Railroad mapped out Medbury, as it was originally called, as an agricultural town in 1883. The small town didn’t develop quickly, but when the post office arrived in 1908, the town grew slighlty. Hammett owes its present name to Charles Hammett, a King Hill irrigation project promoter.
