Lowman
Pop. 15

Although first settled by homesteader, Nathaniel Lowman, in the late 1800s or early 1900s, this city didn’t actually receive telephone service until 1982. Prior to that, long distance phone calls were transmitted via microwave to Mesa, Idaho’s Cambridge Telephone Company. Today, the town is a hotbed of activity for Boise National Forest recreationists.
