Originally known as the Bonneville Museum and housed within a historic Andrew Carnegie endowed building, this museum has undergone a recent facelift. After adding 20,000 square feet to the original building, the new museum opened in February 2003 under its new name, the Museum of Idaho. As one of Idaho’s largest museums, the facility is presents the natural and cultural history of Idaho and the Rocky Mountain region. The Museum of Idaho features several permanent exhibits as well as numerous rotating displays and is proud to now offer educational programs. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM and is operated by the Bonneville County Historical Society.
