The Great Snake River Duck Race
Although real wildlife abounds in the Idaho Falls area and along the Snake River, one day each August is devoted to children’s favorite yellow rubber duckies. Sponsored by the Idaho Falls Rotary Club, the event draws locals and visitors alike who line the waterfront to watch as hundreds of yellow duckies race down the river. Each duck is assigned a number, and top finishers secure large prizes.
