For years, Idaho Falls has celebrated the Snake River Settlers’ Festival and Independence Day in grand style. The day starts out with a large parade and also features baseball games and other “old-fashioned” games and activities at Tautphaus Park. The activities wrap up with one of the largest fireworks displays west of the Mississippi. Showcased over the Snake River, the display is professionally choreographed and set to music, and it annually attracts an average of 100,000 spectators.
