| In 1887, Charles H. Moon homesteaded and built a bridge and general store in this location. He became the first postmaster a year later and named the town because he noted a resemblance between the nearby Henry’s Fork waterfall and the Mississippi River’s St. Anthony Falls in Minnesota. The community’s location on Henry’s Fork of the Snake River provides excellent fly-fishing opportunities, while the St. Anthony Sand Dunes has long been a local draw. |
