Every year in Preston, the weekend following Thanksgiving is filled with the Christmas spirit as residents and visitors gather to celebrate the Festival of Lights. Two days of shopping, bed racing, musicals, theater, live entertainment, parades, children’s activities, and fireworks cumulate with the lighting of the town’s festively decorated downtown. The lights remain brightly lit until the New Year, and the festival is recognized as one of Idaho’s best holiday light displays.
