City Creek Trail to Kinport Peak

Location: In Pocatello, drive west on West Center Street to Lincoln Avenue. Bear left on Lincoln Avenue, and then turn right on City Creek Road to locate the trailhead.

Local hikers and mountain bikers as well as tourists have grown to love this popular trail in downtown Pocatello. While some opt to follow the trail for a short ways next to City Creek, the trail does lead to incredible area views from the pinnacle of 7,222-foot Kinport Peak. Best months for hiking are May through September.

Cherry Springs Nature Trail
Climb: gentle
Difficulty: easy
Usage: heavy
Location: From downtown Pocatello, drive south on Bannock Highway up Mink Creek Canyon. At the bottom of the hill, park at the turnout next to Cherry Springs Nature Area.

Hikers stroll next to a creek amidst beautiful and varied vegetation. Best months for hiking are May through September.
