| Cattle ranchers first settled Geneva in 1878. Mormon colonizers, mostly from Switzerland, joined them in 1879 and established dairy farms. Twenty years went by before settler Henry Touvscher finally gave the settlement a name. He chose Geneva in honor of his hometown in Geneva, Switzerland. The post office was established in 1898. |
