| Inkom was settled in 1895 and mapped out in 1914. Today it is part of Pocatello’s metro area and is home to the State’s only cement producer. Lime is also mined in the area. The post office was established here in 1903, and the town is reportedly named after the Indian term Ink-um, which means “come ahead.” |
